Dwyane Wade confirmed Monday, Dec. 30 that he fathered a son during a brief hiatus from his now-fiancee Gabrielle Union.
The NBA player, 31, acknowledged that he was the father of a little boy, born about a month ago, whose mother is not longtime love Union. "I had a time, a part in our break, in our pain and our hurt, a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy," Wade said during a press conference Monday evening, as reported by the Sun Sentinel. "So I'm moving on."

Entertainment Tonight, which first broke the story, wrote that Wade and his fiancee had worked through the issue "privately as a couple." ET also reported that Union was aware of Wade's child with the other woman (whom the Miami Heat player has allegedly known "for many years") prior to getting engaged last week.
The pro basketball player is father to kids Zaire and Zion. Wade was awarded custody of his children following a contentious 3-year court battle with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. He is also raising his nephew and has made it clear that fatherhood is not a role he takes lightly -- even authoring bestselling book, A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger than Basketball.

Wade and Union have been dating since 2009 and took a brief break to focus on their respective careers. "I was dealing with my injuries, trying to win a championship, so we kinda took a step back," the NBA superstar told Jay Leno back in September during an appearance on The Tonight Show.
As reported by Us Weekly, he proposed to the actress with a stunning 8.5-carat diamond ring by Jason of Beverly Hills. The couple shared snippets of their touching moment together via social media following his proposal.

The athlete opened up to Oprah Winfrey back in July 2012 of life with Union and his kids, "We're a family, and we're growing as a family every day. And I think that's the great thing about it." He added, "We

She was just minding her own business and now she is paralyzed

She was just minding her own business and now she is paralyzed. Dayum. According to Contra Costa Times: Chris Solis spends every Christmas at his grandmother’s house, eating Mexican breads and exchanging gifts. But this year won’t be the same. Solis will spend the holidays in the sterile confines of John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where his 19-year old sister, Dominique Romero, is recovering from a gunshot wound. Romero was hit by a stray bullet while watching TV at her house on Waller Avenue in Richmond on the night of Dec. 14. The bullet pierced her elbow, entered her side and lodged in her spinal cord, an injury that could leave the young woman paralyzed from the waist down. While tragedy has struck Romero and her loved ones this Christmas season, dozens of people have offered their support to Romero and her family. “I’ve lived in Richmond 27 years, and it’s a violent city, there’s no denying that,” Solis said. “But to see all of these people reaching out is overwhelming. It’s keeping my sister in good spirits, knowing the whole community has her back.” - See more  here

Justin Bieber names his new dog Karma

Justin Bieber

The 'Heartbreaker' hitmaker bought a seven-week-old American bulldog pup at Ruffin's Pet Centre while visiting his family in Stratford, Ontario, for Christmas, and has now settled on a moniker after his father, Jeremy Bieber, offered the singer's fans the chance to name the canine on Twitter.

Jeremy tweeted on Saturday (28.12.13): ''so we have got a name selected for the newest Bieber. Big thanks to @justinfredos the Belieber who chose it 'Karma' (sic)''

He later poked fun at the name, adding: ''Karma is a lil biter lol (sic)''

A source previously revealed that Justin fell in love with the puppy after he visited the pet store, where he and his family have purchased animals before, with his father and siblings earlier this week.

Earlier this week, he tweeted: ''Blessed to spend Christmas with my family. Hope everyone around the world had a blessed Christmas as well. Much love.''

Mel B wants Spice girls reunion

Mel B

The singer would love the iconic girl group to get back together and tour again, and she revealed she regularly chats to her old band mates.

She told the Daily Mail Weekend magazine: ''The truth is I was always the one that wanted the Spice Girls to continue. I didn't want it to end and I still don't.

''Even though I've always had my own career going on, I'm always up for a reunion. Always. It's a shame we're not doing more as a band.

''There are no cogs turning right now but put it this way, there are always at least two of us talking about doing something ... I think anything is possible.'' However, while band mates Mel C, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton seem up for reforming, the stumbling block is Victoria Beckham - but the group may continue as a four piece.

Mel B admitted: ''I don't know. Maybe. It depends on what it is and when it is. ''With our 20th anniversary approaching in 2014 something is going to happen.

''Everyone knows I'm always championing a reunion. I truly believe it'll happen sooner or later.''

Entitled Umshini Wam, the painting is on display at the AVA Gallery in Cape Town, The Star reports.

It is part of an exhibition called 'Our Fathers'.

The exhibition also has other works of artist Brett Murray whose controversial painting, The Spear, resulted in protests against Johannesburg's Goodman Gallery in May.

Mabulu's painting is priced at R75,000.

"He is not naked; I did not paint him with an uncircumcised penis. This is a metaphor that shows he is not a boy; he is a man, an elder, a father, a leader," Mabulu was quoted as saying.

"In this painting I'm engaging my elder in the language of my mother tongue, the language that carries the culture of my people, the language he understands the most.

"Through this painting, I respectfully, as one of his children, ask my father why he is starving us. Why he is negating his duties to his children, the citizens of South Africa."

Birth Control Pills Side Effects

Birth control pills are the most popular method used for family planning. Women who want to avoid pregnancy often do not think twice before popping a birth control pill, little realizing that it contains certain side effects that can range from mild to severe. This article would help you in understanding more about the birth control pills side effects...
Birth control pills, also called oral contraceptives, are pills that are taken by women to prevent pregnancy. In this age, when couples are opting for small families or no children at all, birth control pills are considered to be an effective method. However, many women who opt for birth control pills among the different methods of family planning do not know that these can cause certain health problems as well. Before moving to birth control pills side effects, it is important to know how these contraceptive pills actually work.

Birth Control Pills

Conception occurs when the egg is fertilized by a sperm. When this fertilized egg or zygote attaches itself to the woman's uterus she is said to be pregnant. The function of the birth control pills is to prevent the sperm from meeting the egg. During every menstrual cycle, natural hormones in the woman's body help in ovulation, preparing the body for pregnancy. Oral contraceptive pills are a form of hormonal contraception which releases artificial hormones (estrogen and progesterone) that control the actual hormones from performing their function. Prevention of pregnancy through oral contraceptive pills can occur due to various reasons. Birth control pills aid family planning by stopping the production of the ovum or egg. Use of contraceptive pills thickens the cervical mucus in the uterus, thus preventing the sperm from reaching the egg. Another way is by making the lining of the womb unfit for the zygote to get attached.

Birth control pills have to be taken everyday continuously for 21 days. Once you stop taking the pill, you will get your period and you have to resume taking the pill after seven days. These pills have to be taken regularly, at the same time, because if it is forgotten even for a day, there can be a chance of pregnancy. Though birth control pills are quite a popular form of contraceptive pills, many are unaware of the potential side effects that accompany it.

Side Effects of Birth Control Pills
•Some of the most common side effects of birth control pills are bloating, constipation, vomiting and nausea. Women are also quite likely to experience irregular periods as well as spotting.
•Women taking birth control pills may experience dizziness, headache, and fatigue. It is also common for them to go through mood swings, depression, and anxiety. It can even lead to high blood pressure and cholesterol.
•One of the major disadvantage of birth control pills is that they do not protect from sexually transmitted diseases. Like other contraceptives, for instance condoms, birth control pills do not reduce the risk of the person from getting infected by STDs like HIV, genital herpes, etc. Moreover, these birth control pills are only 95% foolproof and there are have been cases where pregnancy has occurred even after consuming these pills.
•Most of the common side effects of birth control pills are temporary and may be seen only when women start taking these pills. But, these pills can also lead to serious health complications. Some of these problems include vision impairment, blood clots in the heart, legs, brain and lungs. There is also a risk of having a stroke, heart attack, cervical cancer, jaundice, suppression of the immune system, etc.
•Many times, women experience an infertile period once they stop taking the pills. This happens because the body takes time to get readjusted to work without the pills. The time required for conception in this case would depend on the type of pills and also on the total time the pills were taken for. Birth control pills are also said to cause complications in future pregnancies. There have also been cases where the use of contraceptive pills have led to ectopic pregnancies and even miscarriages.
Some believe that there is a link between birth control pills and breast cancer. However, this is not a proven fact and so cannot be relied on. However, other birth control pills side effects are quite dangerous and harmful to the body. If you want to opt for birth control pills as an option for family planning, you should first consult a gynecologist. The doctor would ask whether you have a history of health problems or any allergies. Accordingly, he/she would advise you about the birth control pills you should use. If you suffering from diseases like diabetes, breast cancer, heart problems, etc. the doctor would ask you to avoid consuming these pills, as it may increase the risk of having severe side effects. In a nut shell, it can be said that though birth control pills are an effective way of averting pregnancy, you have to analyze the side effects to prevent any serious health complications.

FG to use 1.52 billion naira in maintaining presidential fleet while the rest of us languish in hunger

Culled from Punch
The Federal Government has budgeted N1.52b for the maintenance of the 10 aircraft currently in the Presidential Air Fleet in 2014.
The maintenance cost is slightly higher than the N1.5bn proposed as the initial deposit for the purchase of additional aircraft that will bring the number of aircraft in the fleet to 11.
This is apart from the N747m earmarked for the purchase of aviation fuel for the aircraft already in the fleet.
These figures are contained in the details of the 2014 Appropriation Bill presented to the National Assembly by President Goodluck Jonathan through the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, penultimate week.

The government has also earmarked N458.5m for international trainings for the fleet’s personnel in the coming year.

Another chunk of the budget for the fleet is the N675.9m budgeted for the rehabilitation/renovation/repairs of PAF Barracks.

A whopping N405.5m is also proposed for the completion of a hangar project under the PAF budget for the year while N106m is earmarked for tyre bay tools and equipment.
The PAF’s security vote (including operations) is N259.55m; insurance premium — N445.7m; as well as cleaning and fumigation services —N58m.

N71.74m is budgeted for 797 units of LG 2HP air conditioners for PAF Barracks; N40.5m is earmarked for three units of Toyota Coaster buses and N26.4m for four units of Toyota Hilux.
Motor vehicle fuel will gulp N29.6m, other transport equipment fuel cost — N26.5m; plant/generator fuel cost N14.5m as well as cooking gas/fuel cost — N2m.

The N67m devoted to miscellaneous included refreshment and meals — N28.9m; postage and courier services — N15m; medical expenses — N12m; corps members kitting, transport and feeding allowance N3.7m and honorarium and sitting allowance — N3.6m.

PAF is said to have the third largest fleet of aircraft in the country with a total of 10 aircraft, coming closely behind Aerocontractors Airlines, which has a total of 14 aircraft.

Arik Air, the largest commercial airline in the country, has a fleet of 23 aircraft.
The PAF include two Falcon 7X jets, two Falcon 900 jets, Gulfstream 550, one Boeing 737 BBJ (Nigerian Air Force 001 or Eagle One), and Gulfstream IVSP.

Others are one Gulfstream V, Cessna Citation 2 aircraft and Hawker Siddley 125-800 jet.

Fifteen ways guys say "I love you" without actually saying it

The silent ways he’s showing you he cares.
Has your guy been fairly silent in the 4-letter-word department, and you’re trying to figure out other ways to tell if he loves you? Sometimes, this can be hard; not everybody is vocal or obvious about their feelings, and many may feel it is difficult to voice those deeper emotions whether it’s for fear of rejection, commitment or simply never having said “I Love You” before.
Here are some subtle, silent ways to tell if he’s thinking it.
1. Passionate, Long-Lasting Kisses
Who doesn’t love an excellent, lengthy kiss? When he’s continuously initiating these and you can feel the passion each time he does, it is clear that he’s more than just a little excited to be around you.
2. His Friends Love You
If all his buddies are starting to warm up to you and truly seem to enjoy your company, it could be because they know how happy you’re making their friend — thus making them start to find you as awesome as he does.
3. Close Personal Distance
You know how it’s unnerving when somebody you’re not interested in gets close to you? It’s the complete opposite when someone you adore tends to be closer in distance than he is to other people.
4. Smiling After Kissing
Sure, you can have a little sweet smile after kissing someone whose company you enjoy, but do you ever just feel like positively beaming when it’s someone you love? If you catch him grinning after your kisses all the time, it’s a great sign that he truly enjoys your company.
5. He Listens Intently
While he might not be saying much when it comes to your relationship and his feelings about it, the fact that he listens closely when you’re talking is incredibly significant. He may lean in closer when you’re discussing important topics or nod when you say something poignant, showing how much your words mean to him.
6. Upright Posture
Most of us tend to slouch and have poorer posture than we should. However, if you’re trying to impress the person you care about most and want him or her to be most attracted to you, you’re going to stand or sit straight up.
7. Hand Squeezing
I once had a relationship with a guy who loved holding my hand and would occasionally squeeze it tightly when we were cuddling or out with friends, but hated any other kind of cutesy couple-like act. I always wondered why he was so opposed, but then I realized that every time he squeezed my hand, he was trying to say, “I love you” in a quiet, simple way.
8. Calling (Or Texting) For No Reason
Not all people do this when in love, so don’t take it personally if he doesn’t. That said, it’s a sign that he feels comfortable with you in non-romantic situations as well as the obvious ones, and that he’s thinking of you throughout the day.

The hip-hop mogul performed to a sold-out crowd earlier that evening and when his adoring female fans screamed about how much they loved him, Jay replied, “sorry ladies, my girl is here tonight,” E! News reported.
The festivities continued as they headed to the afterparty and Jay Z and Beyoncé certainly have reason to celebrate.

Python strangles man to death

A security guard has been killed by a python near a luxury hotel on Indonesia's resort island of Bali.
The incident happened around 3am on Friday as the 4.5-metre (15ft) python was crossing a road near the Bali Hyatt hotel, said Agung Bawa, an assistant security manager at the hotel, which is closed for renovations until 2015.
The victim, Ambar Arianto Mulyo, a 59-year-old security guard at a nearby restaurant, had offered to help capture the snake, which had been spotted several times before near the hotel, in the Sanur area.
Mulyo managed to secure the snake's head and tail and put it on his shoulders, but the python wrapped itself around his body and strangled him to death, Bawa said.
People watching the incident were unable to help and called the police, who came but failed to save the man. The python escaped into nearby bushes, and police were still searching for it.
"It happened so fast," Bawa said. "We were sad because we could not do anything to help him."

Rights Group want Obasanjo Prosecuted

Yenagoa — Civil Liberties Organisation, CLO, and civil societies  from the six geo-political zones of the country, have concluded plans to form a new coalition and intensify campaign for the prosecution of former President Olusegun Obasanjo over the 1999 military invasion and destruction of Odi community in Bayelsa State.
The proposed coalition, according to the CLO, is expected to put machinery in motion to effect the prosecution of former President Obasanjo and his collaborators at the International Court of Justice, ICJ.
In a paper presented at the 13th anniversary of Odi military invasion, the CLO Chairman, Bayelsa State chapter, Chief Nengi James, said that though the people of Odi community had done the needful and instituted a lawsuit against the Federal Government before the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and secured fair judgment, the proposed coalition will not rest until the former President was prosecuted and indicted.

I was Made President by God- President Goodluck Jonathan

*Says greatest Nigeria’s problem is lack of love, unity
President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday  maintained that he rose from the smallest community in Bayelsa State to become the President of Nigeria by the grace of God and support of the people.
Speaking at the Apostolic Faith Church in Jabi, Abuja, where he worshiped with the congregation in the Sunday Church Service, Jonathan who is presently not in good terms with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, noted that lack of love and unity has been the greatest problem facing the country.
Likening the present challenges in Nigeria to those faced by the Israelites in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible when leaving Egypt for the Promised Land, he promised to bequeath a better Nigeria to the upcoming children.
He urged the congregation to continue to pray for Nigeria as the country has been specially blessed by God and will get to greater heights through the prayers of Nigerians.
Jonathan said: “We will try our best but this is not the time to reel out what we are doing or what we are not doing, otherwise they will think I am here to campaign. But I assure you, this congregation and indeed all Nigerians that by the will of God and your support, I am here today from nowhere.”
“Any child of Nigeria can be where I am. I come from the smallest state in this country, even within the state, one of the smallest communities in Bayelsa state. Even within the community, one of the smallest families, but I am here today by the grace of God.”
“That is the type of Nigeria we want to create, a Nigeria where you can get what you want if you work hard, it is not because you know somebody who knows somebody that will talk to somebody. A Nigeria that our children, if they work hard, will get whatever they want just like in other free societies like America and so on. We will work with you to help you to get to wherever you want to go.” He added
Stressing that he had no formal address to read to the congregation, the President said that he has recently been misquoted by the media.
“I don’t have a formal address. Because for those of us in politics, these days are not the best days to make speeches because any statement we make, people look at how to paint it. The next day when you read the newspapers, you start doubting if that is what you said. So any statement we make is always used against us.” He said
He went on: “But I am quite pleased to be here with you today to worship with you. I love the children and your programme. I love the choir ministration. Probably, this is the first time I am worshiping with you since I came to Abuja in 2007. Probably, you would have seen me more than ten times if we don’t have a chapel in the villa, so we worship there every Sunday.”
“But during the Christmas and New Year period, I like to go round and interact with other brethren. The reason is actually to thank all of you for what you have been doing for this country, for your prayers. I always say and I will continue to say it that but for your prayers, probably it would have been worse than this.”“As a nation, we have our challenges, no doubt about that and anytime I look at the history of Nigeria and the challenges we face and when I read parts of the old statement about when the Israelites decided to move out of Egypt to the promised land, we have something quite similar.”“As you are getting closer, you meet more obstacles and thank God for the sermon we heard and of course the songs showed that the greatest problem we have is love and unity. Yes, Nigeria was amalgamated by our colonial masters in 1914. By 1st January next year, Nigeria as a state will be 100 years old.”
Harping on the divine creation of Nigeria, he said: “But I totally agree with our man of God that it was not by chance, it was ordained by God. If God didn’t will it at that point, the north and south would not have come together. The details of the north and south coming together make Nigeria a very great country. I use to say that Nigeria is great not because of oil, we have countries that produce more oil than Nigeria but nobody talks about them.”“We have countries that have multi million dollars in reserve because of their wealth and nobody talks about them but here we are just talking about 40,000 dollars. But the biggest to the smallest country talks about Nigeria. Why? Because of the diversity from the north to the south, the human and natural resources, the potentials and the population that we have.”
“So, Nigeria is a country that has a special blessing from God. It is left for us to appreciate God and continue to pray for God’s intervention and this country will continue to be great.”“I promise our children that we are totally committed to make sure that they meet a different Nigeria.  We will collectively work hard to overcome these barriers, these feelings of oh that I am Christian, I am a Muslim, I am Hausa, I am Ijaw. Immediately we cross that barrier and we begin to believe that we are all Nigerians and we are committed to the development of this country, our children will surely meet a better Nigeria.” Jonathan said.
Earlier in the service, the President took the Bible Reading from the Book of Lamentations, Chapter 3, Verses 22 to 26.
Delivering the sermon titled ‘Living worthy of great mercies, great faithfulness of God,’ Rev. Bayo Adeniran said that Nigeria will be very great if it returns from its evil ways, repent and follow God like the people of Nineveh in the Bible in Jonah 3: 5 to 8.
While praying for Nigeria, he urged Nigerians to be wary of false prophets stressing that the mercies and grace of God is available for the country
He said: “If Nigeria believe in God like the people of Nineveh, God will heal Nigeria. The swiftness of God shall visit this country. We are so bothered about external corruption, but there are so much corruption in the heart.”
“The nation starts with you, the individual and the family. Return to God and God will answer your prayers. Nigeria shall not die, Nigeria will live if we return to God.” He stated
He also took the congregation through Psalm 100:4-5, Luke 17:15, Psalm 101:1, Psalm 130:1-4, Psalm 90:13-17 and Luke 13: 6-9.
Some top government officials attended the service with the President.

Varsity to make Igbo Language Compulsory

Prof. Ihechukwu Madubuike, Director, Igbo Renaissance at the Gregory University, Uturu (GUU), Abia, said on Saturday that the university would soon introduce the Igbo language as a compulsory course in the second year.
Madubuike announced this at Uturu during the 6th edition of the Igbo (Uturu) Cultural Carnival, which held at the university.
“By the next two years, the university plans to introduce the Igbo language as a compulsory subject for all students in the second year.
“Whether you are Yoruba, Hausa or Efik, you must take Igbo as a compulsory subject, in spite of your area of specialisation,’’ he said.
Madubuike described the Igbo language as the ‘’soul of the culture of Ndigbo,’’ adding that the disappearance of the language would mean the ultimate death of the culture.
Earlier, the traditional ruler of Oko in Anambra state, Igwe Laz Ekwueme, called for concerted efforts by people of the South-East to save the Igbo language from going extinct.
Ekwueme, who was the chairman of the carnival, expressed regret that the Igbo language was under serious threat, due to the decline in its usage as a means of communication in various families.
He noted that many families of Igbo origin preferred to communicate in foreign languages, especially the English language, with their children.
“More often, nowadays, you find many parents communicating with their children and relations in the English language, rather than the Igbo language,’’ he said.
Ekwueme regretted that the development was capable of endangering the Igbo language, if not promptly checked.
The monarch, who was a former Minister of Education, commended the Chancellor of the University, Dr. Greg Ibe, for initiating the carnival.
“Anything that is done to encourage the sustenance of the Igbo language and culture would be encouraged,” he said.
Ekwueme noted that the event would add value to similar efforts designed to re-establish and reinforce the Igbo culture.
He urged governors in the zone to rally support toward the sustenance of the culture and the language of Ndigbo by identifying with the carnival.
Prof. Barth Chukwuezi, a director in the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, expressed delight that the Igbo cultural heritage and artefacts could be found in abundance in Uturu.
Chukwuezi, who is the Head, Educational Services and Training, said that the commission often encouraged the people to communicate in their native languages during its outreach programmes.
He noted that the Igbo language ranked among the few native languages in the country facing serious threats of possible extinction and called for urgent steps to stem the tide.
“Once a people’s language and culture go extinct, then the people literally cease to exist,’’ Chukwuezi said.
He advised parents to encourage the use of the Igbo language in their homes, as a major means of communication with their offspring, to save the language from dying.
The initiator and sponsor of the carnival said that the objective of the yearly event was to provide a platform for the transmission of Igbo culture from one generation to another, among others.
He said that the theme of this year’s carnival: ‘’Ibu anyi danda’’ (meaning ‘’resilience and the indomitable spirit’’) of Ndigbo, underscored the numerous challenges and struggles faced by the Igbo man.
Ibe noted that God had always rewarded the Igbo man with huge success in his vocations and determination to succeed in life.
The Chancellor explained that the ceremony was organised as ‘’our contribution to the cultural heritage of mankind‘’.
He described the celebration of a people’s culture as ‘’the celebration of their history, civilisation and the totality of their way of life’’.
The lecture on the theme was delivered by a renowned author and publisher, Mr Chinedum Ofomata.
Highlights of the ceremony included cultural dances by various dance groups from 16 states of the federation.
Different kinds of masquerades, including ‘’Ijele’’ and ‘’Atu’’ from Anambra, took turns to perform at the event, which attracted a large crowd from within and outside the country. (NAN)

Millionaire Donates all his properties to charity then commits suicide

A renowned Wall Street tycoon gave away his entire $800 million fortune before falling to his death in a suicide jump this week.
Hedge fund multi-millionaire Robert W. Wilson, 87, leapt from the 16th floor of his luxury San Remo apartment building (pictured below), a prestigious address in New York’s Upper East Side which has been the residence of Steven Spielberg, Demi Moore, Glenn Close, Dustin Hoffman, Bono, Steve Martin, Bruce Willis and Steve Jobs in the past.
According to the New York Police Department, he left a note at the scene. He had suffered from a stroke just a few months before.

“He always said he didn’t want to suffer and when the time came, he would be ready,” close friend Stephen Viscusi told the New York Post.
“His plan was to give all his money away. He told me recently, ‘I only have about $100 million to go.’”
He has since been praised as a “legend” by his peers, after pledging his entire worth to charity some years before he ended his life.
He gave the last $100 million of his money to not-for-profit environmental advocacy group the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).
Fred Krupp, the president of the EDF, said of the group’s biggest benefactor: “Robert W. Wilson was a Wall Street legend who became a prominent philanthropist.
“Bob had a passion to get things done in the world. Widely read and blessed with a keen intellect, he had the ability to predict where the world was going, a talent that informed his investments and, in later years, his philanthropy.”
Krupp went on to indicate that Wilson was building up a hugely lucrative Wall Street portfolio “with the aim of bestowing his fortune during his lifetime”.
“Initially skeptical of the science of climate change, he quickly came to regard it as a critical challenge. He wanted carbon pollution cut in an efficient and sensible way, knowing that for a solution to be environmentally sustainable, it must also be economically sustainable.”
“Bob helped EDF grow with a pivotal $100 million challenge grant that inspired scores of others to increase their own giving,” Krupp continued. “I am personally grateful to Bob for his leadership and support over many years.”

Other beneficiaries of Wilson’s money include the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, the World Monuments Fund, the Nature Conservancy and the Wildlife Conservation Society, each of which received $100 million before Wilson passed away.
“I realised that Catholic schools were closing all over the country, and Bill Gates probably didn’t have enough money to save them,” Wilson told Bloomberg News in 2010 when asked about his decision to donate such a large sum to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York.
Wilson was married to his only wife Marilyn for 35 years before they divorced. He is survived by his brother William, 88. He had no children.

Tyrese Gibson- Relationship advise for new couples

Tyrese Gibson shared his thoughts on new marriages and relationships on his Facebook page a few hours ago.
Tyrese Gibson known simply as Tyrese, is an American Grammy-nominated R&B singer-songwriter, actor, author, television producer, former fashion model and MTV VJ. He is best known for his role as Roman Pearce in the Fast and Furious series.
Read his post below:
My thoughts on new marriages and relationships…
Keep it private keep some of the magic to yourself… Don’t post everything… Build the “foundation” of friendship and those private moments alone… The world tends to NOT be happy for people… Until YOU know what you have don’t feel like you have to share every moment… You never know maybe I’m in a relationship… I move in silence… It keeps it special, fun and amazing… Most of us entertainers have major “validation” issues we want everyone to see and know everything so that our egos are fed constantly but on a spiritual warfare level people are mean and evil and don’t want you to be happy cause they aren’t happy… Move in silence enjoy the moments… Real advise for all of you lovers out there…
People can’t hate or throw darts towards what they don’t know exist… Shhhhhhhhh…
Yup it’s true… I love you!!

Clues ladies leave at your home to mark their territory

Men oftentimes accuse women of being expert “Inspector Gadgets” when it comes to detecting whether or not they are in competition with other women. Men oftentimes fail to notice that women leave clues for one another at a man’s home in an attempt to discover one another.
Some of these clues are subtle, others are overt and are never seen by the other woman (if there is another woman) because the man was able to find them first. A team at iDateDaily surveyed women who have admitted to leaving and/or finding clues that led them to discover their man was with another woman. Below are the top 10 clues the women who were surveyed found and/or left at a man’s home:
  1. Intimate apparel: One common clue that is oftentimes left behind is a pair of sexy panties and/or a bra. Unless you have a friend who sleeps in your bedroom with his girlfriend, it’s pretty difficult to explain to your girlfriend how a sexy thong managed to find its way underneath your bed and/or in your car.
  2. Condom wrappers: Some of the women surveyed admitted to leaving condom wrappers in trash cans throughout the home and/or underneath the bed. Nothing says “caught up” more than condom wrappers, especially if they’re a brand of condoms that you and your girlfriend don’t usually use.
  3. Perfume: While some women admitted to leaving bottles of perfume at a guy’s home, others admitted to spraying perfume onto their wrists and rubbing it onto different fabrics in a man’s home for other women to smell. After all, it’s pretty difficult to remove the scent of a woman’s perfume from your clothes and pillow cases.
  4. Glitter: A lot of feminine products (e.g. body shimmers, lip gloss, makeup) have glitter in them. And glitter is extremely hard to completely get rid of. While some of the women surveyed admitted to “accidentally” allowing their glittery products to spill on the bathroom sink, others claimed to have found more success by leaving it on a man’s face, literally. Unless you’ve been playing dress-up with your daughter or have been in a strip club, there’s no reason for you to have glitter on your face.
  5. Loose Hair: This clue can be particularly tricky if you are a man with long hair. The women we surveyed admitted to questioning their men about long loose hair sighted throughout the home.
  6. Lipstick: Unless you’re engaged in a double lifestyle that your girlfriend is well aware of, it will be incredibly difficult to explain why you have a tube of lipstick in your bedroom, living room, and/or bathroom.
  7. Bobby Pins and Other Hair Accessories: This one is a bit tricky if you’re a man with long hair, but if you are bald, it will be incredibly challenging to explain the bobby pins and hair bands located in the drawer of your bathroom.
  8. Soap: Unless you’re a huge fan of Dove products for women, you will find yourself struggling to explain a pink bar of soap in the tub. Ladies are well aware of soap brands that are created just for them.
  9. Menstrual Products: Unless you have a teenage daughter and/or you are in a serious relationship, menstrual products should never be in your home. Ladies surveyed admitted to leaving behind tampons and/or menstrual pads at a man’s home as a clue to other women of their existence.
  10. Stilettos: Women oftentimes bring a pair of flats to relieve their aching feet from high-heels. Some of the women surveyed admitted to leaving behind a pair of sexy stiletto pumps in a man’s closet so that another woman could discover them.
While some people may revere this as a form of “marking your territory,” the core of the conversation is to remain open and honest with the woman or women you’re dating so that you don’t create a hostile environment for yourself when you’re being confronted about another woman’s items in your home.

Meet the Indian Chef with heat proof hands

When Prem Singh was asked to lend a helping hand frying fish at his family restaurant he took it rather too literally.
The chef, 65, has become famed in the backstreets of Old Delhi for his unique ability to plunge his bare hands into searing cooking oil.
He regularly dips his fingers into a bubbling vat of oil, which is heated up to 200C, to pluck out the fried fish.

But incredibly, the veteran fryer says he has never suffered any burns, blisters or ill affects.
Prem Singh said: ‘I have been doing this for 25 years. It is just about experience.‘I put my hand into hot oil once. Later I did it again. I soon realized that the hot oil did not do me any harm.’
Each evening Singh’s Ganesh eatery has as many onlookers as it does customers.

They sold just fried fish, but over the years, Singh has moved to cooking other Indian delicacies too.
Singh says he sells over a hundred kilograms of fried fish each day, thanks to the demand to see him hand fry them.
He also serves other popular Indian delicacies such as tandoori chicken, mutton tikkas and kebabs.

Over the years, Singh’s appetising fried fish has earned him a fan following, with visitors travelling from across the region to sample it.
Frequent customer, Dipesh, said: ‘This is the first thing I do when I land in Delhi for business – I come straight here to eat the fish. It is something I look forward to.
‘I am always amazed with the way he pulls the fish out of the pan – you have to see it to believe it.
And I must tell you that there is something good about the taste too.’

With the business thriving, Singh’s two sons are now chipping in and taking care of the business.
Singh’s eldest son, Deepak, said: ‘We have been here for almost 60 years. Our father ran the business with our grandfather. Now, we are taking it forward.
‘We are hoping to expand now, and take the rich history further.’
And Singh now hopes his sons will keep up the eateries tradition of the hand fryer.
He added: ‘They can do it too. It is just about practice. If they keep trying and experimenting, they will get there.’
