2face Idibia Builds N250m Night Club In Lagos

Following the success of his ‘Rumours Night club’ in Ikeja, music star, 2face Idibia has expanded by launching another Rumours Nite Club around Mile 2, FESTAC Town, Lagos.



Dailypost has gathered that the African Queen crooner spent about N250 Million on the 1000 guest capacity club which opened its doors in the New Year to fun seekers.

The multi-millionaire property belonged to ex-Super Eagles striker, Victor Agali, before it was purchased and converted into a night club.

On why he delved into the club business, the CEO of Hypertek Records and Entertainment, 2face told PUNCH that “I am not only an artiste, I’m also an entrepreneur.”

He further revealed his plans to have the “Rumours Night club” in major cities in Nigeria and in Africa.

Pathetic- Tukur Resigns

Embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, has resigned,  THE PUNCH learnt.
A senior member of the divided National Working Committee of the party, who spoke with our correspondent in Abuja on Wednesday, said President Goodluck Jonathan will inform the meeting of the National Caucus of the party tonight in Abuja about the development.
With the resignation, Tukur has escaped being suspended from the party by the members of the NWC if he had refused to resign.
Tukur was to be suspended by about eight members of the NWC, while the National Executive Committee of the party would ratify his suspension on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan is said to be scheming to install Tukur’s successor.
The First Lady is said to be rooting for the appointment of the Minister of Transport, Sen. Idris Umar.
However, the governors are resisting the move.

B Joshua speaks up on Controverial Anti-gay bill

As news of the controversial law banning same-sex marriage continues to make headlines worldwide after it was signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan, the renowned spiritual head of the Synagogue church in Lagos, Prophet TB Joshua has spoken out on the contentious issue.



“Judge not, so that you will not be judged,” Joshua began, citing Matthew 7:1 for Scriptural backing. “We should talk to people to be saved and not to die. I mean, we should talk salvation, not condemnation. The Bible is my standard.”

Through a new initiative on his ministries official Facebook page, with almost 900,000 fans, in which the cleric responds to people’s questions in an interactive session, he addressed the much debated question on same-sex marriage.

TB Joshua added: “If my parents were one, I would not have been given birth to,” he proceeded poignantly. “Those that are asking this question, (note that) if your parents were one, you would not have been given birth to. You that are reading me – if your parents were one, you would not be reading this today. God bless the reader and the hearer.”

His message is clear; being gay is not something we should encourage but we should not condemn any one.

South Africa’s president Jacob Zuma has told how he used witchcraft against white people.
Speaking in his native Zulu at a pre-election rally in the country’s rural north, he told voters: “I used to practise witchcraft around here, bewitching the Boers during apartheid.”

He promised the crowd in a village in Mpumalanga province that if his African National Congress party was re-elected with more than 90 per cent of the vote, he would come back to slaughter cows in celebration.
Mr Zuma, who was a commander of the ANC’s armed wing under apartheid, also claimed his party would run South Africa “for ever”.
The ANC is predicted to win this year’s election with around 60 per cent of the vote, but is forecast to lose a great deal of popular support.

INSANE LAWSUIT -- Man Says She Begged Him for Naked Pics

 

Jennifer Lopez has been dragged into what looks like the craziest catfish debacle of all time -- a man just sued the singer, claiming she duped him into sending her naked photos in the mail ... but it appears a rando 53-year-old woman is secretly behind everything.

Rodrigo Ruiz filed the $10,000 suit against Lopez in L.A., claiming she sent him a letter out of the blue in 2008, demanding he reply with naked photos ... as well as his demo CDs.

He claims the letters led him to believe he had a chance at a music career -- and even a romantic relationship with Lopez, but she never followed through and he eventually gave up hope. Ruiz says he was so depressed he sought out professional help.

Ruiz sent us a few of the 3-line letters he received from "Lopez" and they're obviously bogus ... the first reads, "I just wanted to let you know that I do remember you and that I am interested in you. I have plans on leaving my husband. But I can't say much right now so that's it for now. Send me pictures of you both with clothes and without clothes."

Here's the second -- "This is Jennifer Lopez writing to you again and just to let you know that I got your packages, music, and demos. And just to let you know you need to send me pictures of you with and without clothes."

The third is the best -- "This is Jennifer Lopez and as you can tell its been a while since I last wrote and as you can see I have a new boyfriend which means your in for the long haul and you have to put up with the fact that I am f**king him and sucking his d**k."



In addition to the lawsuit, Ruiz filed a police report claiming sexual harassment.

Ruiz still believes Lopez sent these letters to him, but records show the P.O. box he replied to is owned by a 53-year-old L.A. woman.

We called her to ask about the lawsuit and everything else, and she nervously concocted a lame explanation about operating a Jennifer Lopez fan mail exchange ... and hung up on us.

A rep for J.Lo tells TMZ, "this is a small claims matter that appears to be a desperate attempt for notoriety. Ms Lopez has never seen or met the plaintiff, nor has she ever communicated with him. We believe this matter should be summarily dismissed."

Rivers Senator lieing in a critical situation after being shot

The Senator representing Rivers Central Senatorial district, Magnus Abe has been hit by a rubber bullet shot by officers of the Rivers State police command.
This was confirmed by his Personal Assistant and Information Officer, Honour Siranwo.
Senator Abe had led members of Save Rivers Movement, to a venue where they were to hold an inauguration and thanksgiving programme for the Obio-Akpor Chapter of the group.
Governor Rotimi Amaechi was expected at the event before the incident occurred.
In his reaction, Chief of Staff, Government House Port Harcourt, Tony Okocha said the police wants to militarize the state.
Okocha said the Save Rivers Movement had applied to the state police command.
According to him, the Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, orchestrated the attack. He also alleged that he bribed the Police Commissioner in the state, Joseph Mbu to carry out the attack.
According to report, the police shot sporadically and released tear gas to disperse the crowd.
In the meantime, Senator Abe is lying critically in the hospital.

Expatriate resigns in protest of unpaid wages of Nigerian staff

A Base Maintenance Manager at Caverton Helicopters, Mr. Surendra Bhagwandass yesterday resigned over non-payment of salaries and unfair treatment of Nigerian workers in the company.
The company, which has contracts with companies like SHELL, TOTAL among others was accused of not paying the salaries of its Nigerian workers last month (December 2013).
Bhagwandass who tendered his resignation letter through an email to the management of Caverton said that he became frustrated knowing that the expatriates workers were being taken care of while their Nigerian counterparts were not only poorly paid but  their salaries delayed and described the development as unfair.
“Shame on you guys. I heard from the people I work with that they are not paid for the festive season. This is a security breach as I now feel uncomfortable to travel and work, while you guys have a merry time.
“Please have heart as these people have families, while you all enjoy the best; being with your families. You all (set) break the record as the only company in the world who do not pay your workers. Shame on you guys,”he expatriate stated in the email.
Some of the Nigerain workers at Caverton Helicopters said it was painful to know that expatriate staff were paid in dollars but the Nigerian workers who put in more effort on the job were paid less.
They also said, that while they are not given accommodation or security escorts, expatriates enjoyed such benefits.
“They are paid in dollars, we in Naira but we work more than them. Several staff have been attacked because they leave their houses around 4 am. There is no security for us. But they enjoy everything in our country,” the staff said.
He further accused Caverton Helicopters of failing to take good care of its staff even after promising oil companies that it would do so before signing contracts with them.
The Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of Caverton Helicopters, Mrs. Doyin Elegbe denied the allegations.

Meet Six year old who earns 8000 bucks a week

The youngest child on the new Disney sitcom "Girl Meets World" makes WAY more money than you ... $8,000 a week to be exact ... and he's only 6 years old.

According to the minor contract for August Maturo -- who plays the youngest son of Cory and Topanga on the show -- the child actor is set to earn $8,000 per episode (one a week) for the first season of the show.

If the show is approved for additional seasons, he's set to earn even more -- up to $9,261 per episode by Season 4. Pretty sweet.

It obviously pays to be one of the main characters ... we got the minor contract for another kid on the show (who plays the daughter's love interest) and he's only set to make about $4,800 an episode.

Meet Mikel Obi's GF (Photos)

Ilkay Gundogan would brighten not just Manchester United, but the Premier League as a whole

If you told me before the season that I would get to watch both Mesut Ozil and Ilkay Gundogan in the Premier League this year, I’d probably try my hardest to give whoever made that happen a big ol’ hug.
Having seen what beautiful things Ozil has brought to the English game at the Emirates, the prospect of both being on my television come February 1 is salivating.
Manchester United, having been linked heavily with a bid for Gundogan, will have to try very hard to pry him from the clutches of a Borussia Dortmund side already reeling from the thought of losing Robert Lewandowski this summer.  It’s not a long shot, but it’s close.
However, should David Moyes pony up a successful £24 million ($39.6 million) offer, and convince Gundogan to risk his Champions League playing time (think green, that usually helps), the German could very well save their season – and the manager’s job.
The 23-year-old is currently missing long-term from Dortmund’s lineup, having made just one appearances this year due to a spinal injury.
But when healthy, Gundogan is an absolute workhorse. His style isn’t exactly as “sexy” as Ozil’s, but having completed a position change from a No. 10  to a holding midfielder, he possesses the best qualities of both roles melded into one player – what is known as a “complete midfielder.”

Ilkay would be just what the doctor ordered at Manchester United, should David Moyes choose to pursue the German.

It’s a style of player that fits beautifully into the rigors of the Premier League.  Technical yet physically weak players are eaten alive (see: Ruiz, Bryan) but Gundogan possesses the seizing abilities of a holding midfielder while still proving dangerous in both build-up and attack.
The German international had an 87% pass completion during the 2012/2013 Bundesliga season – not stellar until you notice Dortmund play a style that relies on an incisive yet risky passing attack.
He also paired the following statistics together last year: an outstanding 80% tackle completion percentage (51/64) and a 64% take-on success rate (58/90). He can dispossess and dribble.
With Manchester United’s midfield currently featuring such yawn-inspiring players such as Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick, and 40-year-old Ryan Giggs, the middle of the pitch at Old Trafford could use some life.
That’s what David Moyes thought he was doing bringing Marouane Fellaini with him from Everton, but Fellaini’s been both injured and underwhelming, proving his passing abilities to be sub par when thrust into the bright lights.
Gundogan’s playmaking abilities would light up Old Trafford, and feed Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie (given he’s on the pitch and not in the physio’s room) the service they’ve so lacked this season.
Rooney should be lauded by United fans, having singlehandedly created nearly every sliver of United’s attack – nine goals and 11 assists (61% of their goals this season!). Pair the two playmakers, and watch Manchester United soar up the table.
If it happens, consider yourselves lucky to be graced with the ability to watch the beautiful playmaking skills of two different yet equally tantalizing players.

I had Surgery to change my eye colour but was left temporarily blind

A student, Shenise Farrell from London was left temporarily blind after surgery to change the colour of her eyes.

Shenise Farrell travelled to Panama, in Central America, for the unregulated procedure to change her eye colour from dark brown to light brown.
She spent £8,000 on the operation but it went wrong and she was almost left permanently blind.

Ms Farrell decided in 2009 that she wanted to change the colour of her eyes and so she began researching surgical options.
Despite her family’s horror, she travelled to Panama to have a procedure which involved implanting coloured discs – like a contact lenses – into her eyes.
According to Ms Farrell 'I was so determined to get the surgery nothing rang alarm bells for me - nothing obvious.'
When Ms Farrell arrived at the clinic in Panama, she was told that she could not have the light brown implants as they were out of stock.
As a result, the surgeon informed her that she would be given blue implants instead. Despite this not being her original intention, she decided to go ahead with the operation.
Ms Farrell says that during the procedure she screamed and the surgeon told her not to scream as it 'could cause things to go wrong'.
To her huge shock, at the end of the 20 minute procedure, Ms Farrell realised she couldn’t see properly.
She says it was as though she was looking underwater but the surgeon told her not to worry and that for some patients it took up to two weeks for vision to return to normal.
However, by the time Ms Farrell returned to London her sight had deteriorated further.  She went to Charing Cross Hospital where she was unable even to read the biggest letter on the optician’s chart.
Doctors at the hospital had never seen anything like it so were temporarily at a loss as to how to help her.
Eventually, it was decided that the implants had to be removed. Ms Farrell risked permanent blindness to go under the knife again.
This time, surgeons made an incision in her corneas to allow them to remove the implants.
Ms Farrell said: ‘When I woke up I saw black. I panicked. I thought if my vision goes, my life will be over.'
However, the blackness she saw was only caused by the bandaged surgeons had placed over her eyes.
When these were removed, she was able to see again but her vision was blurry. It took two to three months for her vision to return to normal.
She said: 'Now that my eyes are back to normal, my eyes are brown but it doesn’t matter what shade of brown it is. The main thing is that I can see.'

Obasanjo Leaves PDP

President Olusegun Obasanjo has fired another letter, this time, to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, in which he gave a notice of his withdrawal from the activities of the party. Obasanjo also sent a copy of the letter to President Goodluck Jonathan as National Leader of the party. A copy of the letter was obtained by the Saturday Tribune. Read the letter after the break




The former president, in the letter, said he was withdrawing from all activities of the party because the PDP had been negating the principles of morality, decency and discipline in its decisions, especially as they affect the South West where he comes from. The letter, dated January 7, 2014, according to a source at the national secretariat of the party, was received in the office of Tukur on Wednesday, 8 January, 2014. It is believed that President Jonathan also got his own copy on Thursday.

Obasanjo accused the party leadership of imposing someone (names witheld), who he described as a criminal wanted abroad, on the party as its South West zonal leader and proceeded to add that he was forwarding with the letter, “recent documents” on the alleged activities of the person. Efforts to get copies of the “recent documents” by Saturday Tribune from both the PDP national secretariat as well as from Obasanjo’s side were, however, not successful but a source at PDP’s national secretariat confirmed that the letter came with attachments. He did not give further details.

A meeting of South West leaders of the party, it was gathered, will hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, today and may also come up with far-reaching decisions on the future of the party in the zone.

PDP governors give fresh conditions for peace
PEOPLES Democratic Party (PDP) governors have given fresh conditions for peace to return to the party and for the chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, to remain in office. Part of the conditions, according to information gathered by the Saturday Tribune, is for President Goodluck Jonathan to prevail on Tukur to return the structures of the party to them in their respective states as well as make them the leaders. Only after this would they agree to resume adequate funding of the party at all levels as well as its national secretariat.

Part of Tukur’s ‘sins’ is his alleged incessant interference in the affairs of the state chapters, which is said to have led to the setting up of caretaker committees for some of the chapters. The situation did not go down well with the governors, who saw the action as erosion of their powers as leaders in their respective states. The new development, sources close to the governors said, followed the intervention of some respected leaders of the party who reportedly counseled them on the implications of removing Tukur now that the 2015 general elections are around the corner.

Saturday Tribune, however, learnt that the development had created a sharp division among the governors, as some of them are still insisting that the embattled chairman must go as earlier demanded, for them continue to be relevant in the scheme of things in the party ahead of the 2015 elections. The likes of the governors of Jigawa and Niger states, who were members of the aggrieved G7 Governors before five of them defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), and some others are said to have insisted that for genuine peace to return to the PDP and for the party to maintain its supremacy come 2015 elections, there must be a complete change of leadership.

However, one of the aides to Alhaji Tukur revealed that the cause of friction between Tukur and the governors was his insistence that the party must be returned to the grassroots, and that the constitution of the party must be followed to the letter to allow for due process in election of candidates for party or elective offices, rather than the old order of imposition of candidates by state governors without due process.

Justin Bieber might be Charged with minor felony

Justin Bieber will be charged with a felony -- if L.A. County Sheriff's detectives have their way.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... 2 detectives met with the owner of the house that Bieber egged Thursday night.  We're told the detectives are indignant and believe this is their best chance to nail the Biebs because they have both video of the incident and physical evidence.

And there's urgency to the investigation ... we're told the detectives told the homeowner they need repair estimates by Monday.

Our sources say detectives are confident the estimates will raise the stakes to a felony.  In California, if the damage is greater than $400 it becomes FELONY vandalism.  We're told the homeowner's damage could be in the 10s of thousands of dollars because the very expensive Venetian plaster on the outside of the house has to be redone, and very expensive doors and other items were either damaged or ruined.

As for why the Sheriff's detectives want to hold Bieber accountable ... they feel he's made a mockery of the legal system by breaking the law numerous times ... the problem has been there was never enough evidence to prosecute him.  But there is now.

The D.A. should get the case next week.
